One of our most popular sessions! It all begins with an idea. It may be a swing, a game of tug-a-war or pulley systems to lift and move. A piece of rope heightens the element of play and forges the beginnings of budding engineers.
This session’s intertwined intention is all about rope play! Designing, planning, trialing & creating. There will be long ropes for play and shorter ropes to practice knot tying, using cue cards and books to lead instruction. Use the ropes to swing through the trees, climb up some rocky ledges or hold together a shelter….the possibilities are endless!
We will also have our tool kit available for the children to access as they need. The children will have opportunity to not only master the skill of each tool but additionally develop patience, perseverance, resilience, & strong fine motor strength, dexterity and manipulation.

WHAT TO WEAR
Please come dressed appropriately for the weather. We recommend wearing long pants, covered shoes, a hat, sunsafe t-shirt and a waterproof jacket and pants in wet weather.
WHAT TO BRING
Please bring a backpack with water bottle and a snack. We encourage you to bring package free snacks.
Please note there is no drinking water on the reserve.
*PLEASE NOTE Raw&UnearthedPLAY will run no matter the weather and will only be cancelled in the event of severe storms, wind or fire. All families will be contacted via email at least 1.5 hours prior to the session starting.
