Have you ever whittled with a pocket knife? The skill of whittling, combined with a splash of imagination & art resources will bring to life your very own Whimsical Whittled Wonder! With practice overtime, the repetition of whittling provides space for growth & skill mastery.

This session has a intertwined intention of whittling. A stick when you think about it plainly, is just a stick. A fallen, dead part of a tree….BUT when you think about it creatively & the added skill of whittling, you can alter the way it looks, offering even more potential of what it can be & become. This process builds deeper connections, drives heart and opens ideas for creative outlets among the natural elements. A plain stick perhaps first becomes a walking stick, then is dreamed into a magic wand before it is transformed into a person, animal, bow & arrow or decoration to cherish for years to come.

We will also have our tool kit available for the children to access as they need. The children will have opportunity to not only master the skill of each tool but additionally develop patience, perseverance, resilience, & strong fine motor strength, dexterity and manipulation.

Raw&Unearthed will provide pocket knives for the children to use, you are also able to purchase your own via our website here
